06/18/13Cheat Sheet: June18, 2013Man dies while being handcuffed Hampton Police are investigating how a man died as officers tried to put him in handcuffs on the morning of Tuesday, June 18. According to Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division, officers received a call around 9 a.m. for a suspicious person in the 300 block of Grant Circle. When they arrived, they found a man who officers claim was disorderly and combative. According to the police, the officers believed the man to be suffering from a medical condition and they tried to place him in emergency custody. When the man resisted he was placed in handcuffs and suddenly stopped breathing. The officers then began to preform CPR.
