Meet Katie Mulherin

Interview conducted at The Cheese Shop in Williamsburg

Name: Katie Mulherin

Residence: Williamsburg

How long have you lived in Williamsburg? For two years, but in the area for six years.

What is your favorite holiday? Halloween, because it’s also my birthday.

What is your favorite room in your house? The kitchen. It’s in the center of our house, it’s very inviting, and it’s done—the rest of the house is not there yet. I don’t cook very much, but I just enjoy being there.

What is the key to your heart? Being good at and enjoying trivia games, especially Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy.

What is the background picture on your computer? My dog—a Cavalier King Charles spaniel.

Name something you are OCD about. The biggest thing I’m OCD about is the laundry. I run a tight schedule and I don’t like to deviate from it. I always do it on a certain day at a certain time.

Which day of the week is your favorite? Thursday. There is something very hopeful about it. It’s almost the end of the week but you’re not quite there yet.

What is your favorite cell phone application? I don’t know that I have a favorite. The app I use the most is the Gmail app. I like being able to check my email whenever I want.

When ordering a pizza, what toppings go on it? Onions, bell peppers, pineapple, bacon and banana peppers.

What did you do during Hurricane Sandy? My husband and I were driving back from Philly. We were there for a wedding and had planned on staying and doing some sightseeing, but we had to cancel that and leave early.

What’s your go-to cocktail? I love a greyhound—grapefruit juice and vodka.
