The Top 10 restaurants in Hampton Roads
For the first time in the three years that Hampton Roads Magazine has selected the 50 best restaurants in Hampton Roads, ten restaurants were chosen as the best of the best by a team of Hampton Roads restaurant critics.
Our panel of critics was asked to rank restaurants on six distinct criteria: food quality, value (ratio of cost to food quality), service quality, overall appearance (including cleanliness and atmosphere), the likelihood of returning and/or recommending to others, and contribution to the uniqueness of the region’s restaurant scene.
Each category was given a score between zero and 10, with zero being the lowest and 10 being the highest. The scores were tallied and averaged for an overall rating, and then converted to a numerical value with the highest possible rating of 100 points.
No special consideration was given to advertisers of Hampton Roads Magazine, and none of the restaurant critics received any compensation from the restaurants.
