Pick Your Passion

Hiring an art consulting firm can help make sure you select the perfect pieces to make your home or office pop.

A perfectly placed piece of art is like good style: you know it when you see it, but when you try to put it together yourself, something always seems a bit amiss. With clothing, you may be able to afford experimenting, but with expensive art, perhaps it’s better to leave it to the professionals.

Artlink, LLC is a fine art consulting firm in Virginia Beach advising corporations and homeowners on site-specific art selection and placement. Owners Kelly and Jane Kafigian, a mother and daughter team, work together using their complementing areas of expertise to ensure the art in their clients’ homes is exactly what they would have chosen if they had the time, resources, art knowledge and design expertise Artlink has at its finger tips.

“People know what they like,” says Kelly. “They just might not know how to put it together. We take the intimidation away and bring art to a personal level.”

Kelly, a graduate of George Mason University with a degree in art history, has worked in a frame shop, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and an art consulting firm in D.C specializing in the hospitality industry. Her mother, Jane, has a degree in art and an extensive background in both business and oil painting.

“We always wanted to do something together,” says Jane, who after experiencing city living in Philadelphia and country living in Ohio, is enjoying the happy medium of Hampton Roads. “And I love the water,” she says. End of Excerpt
