Showing Their Stuff
Independent art galleries show the community to the world. They provide local and regional artists the exposure they need to develop an audience, and give established artists the representation to sell their art. We selected 22 of the best places for buying art in Hampton Roads. It’s by no means an exhaustive list of the reputable galleries in the area, but it includes some long-lasting businesses and centers, sprinkled with a few strong up-and-comers.

Be Like Mike
Based on all past models, Mike Vick is just supposed to be winning his starting job right now, not returning as expected savior after an injury that almost dashed the hopes of a franchise on the rebound. There wasn’t supposed to be a league, and all of Madison Avenue, breathlessly monitoring the progress of Vick’s broken fibula. Shining Through

Virginia v. Malvo
The case of Commonwealth of Virginia v. Lee Boyd Malvo will draw national as well as international attention when court convenes in Chesapeake on November 10. Still, others will follow the case closely because Malvo, 17 at the time of the alleged crime, is being tried in one of the few places around the globe where a minor can still be executed
